Hi there
Got my D3 4 days ago and still I am trying to get a grip on it. Although I know the menu of the D200 I am overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options in the D3 menu...
To answer fotabug's question: I have 5 banks with settings for the following circumstances:
- Portait
- Portrait on tripod
- Landscape
- Landscape on tripod
- Action

There are no big differences in the first 4 settings (i.e. mirror up for the tripod, longtime-exposure settings and different picture-control settings from the D2xs). Only action ist quiet different: Hogh-speed shooting, Release priority, 3D matrix metering and 3D-tracking)
If you are interested I can post the settings for discussion an performance improvement :)

To answer the initiate question:
There is no equipment I want to purchase in the near future (the D3 was too expensive ;) ). I've got the following lenses
12-24/4 Tokina (sadly a DX lense)
24-70/2.8 Nikkor (very fine lense)
70-200/2.8 Nikkor
50/1.8 Nikkor
85/1.8 Nikkor

Some gray filters (Hoya ND8 and ND400), circ pol (Hoya), SB800 and a VBebon tripod
